Documentation Engineer·Information Architect·Content Strategist
I build documentation systems that engineers actually ship, ones that stay accurate when the product changes. API references, developer portals, and AI-powered tooling. One writer who also builds the infrastructure.
AI-prompt-powered documentation framework for SaaS API teams: reusable templates, Claude API drafting prompts, automated GitHub Actions validation, and multi-platform export.
Explore RepoDocs AI ↗Engineering teams at my clients ship documentation alongside code, not after it, because I build the systems that make that possible. I'm a Documentation Engineer and Information Architect with 20 years across enterprise software, developer platforms, and regulated industries: payment systems (Fundtech), asset management (SunGard), enterprise communications (Avaya), and financial crime prevention (NICE Actimize).
I write for every audience in the room
Beyond writing, I architect documentation ecosystems, embed docs into CI/CD pipelines, and shape developer portal information architecture. At NICE Actimize, I evaluated seven AI and productivity tools and built a governance framework that resulted in four being formally adopted across a team of eight writers.
Eight production tools covering docs-as-code infrastructure, AI-prompt frameworks, documentation generation, RAG search, analytics, OpenAPI rendering, video automation, and CLI linting. Not demos; each solves a real workflow problem.
15 live documentation sites: API references, admin guides, onboarding kits, SDK guides, developer portals, and Docs-as-Code methodology documentation.
Thoughts on documentation engineering, API writing, and the tools I build and ship.
Five enterprise financial crime platforms (on-prem and SaaS cloud), each with separate release trains, Agile teams, and strict regulatory documentation standards. One team, no unified toolchain, and growing release velocity.
Migrated four GitLab workflows to GitHub with a branching model aligned to release milestones. Designed an AI governance framework: evaluated seven tools, formally adopted four with prompt standards and compliance controls. Built information architecture for the DOCenter customer-facing documentation portal.
Zero release misalignment across five platforms post-migration. Reduced support escalations through targeted troubleshooting guides surfaced from ticket analysis. Eight writers trained on Git, JIRA, and MadCap Flare workflows. Star Performer recognition three consecutive times.
Built 7 production tools including RepoDocs AI (Claude API) and DocCraft AI (GPT-4o); shipped automated doc validation pipelines with GitHub Actions.
8 live API references at Stripe/Plaid quality bar, covering OAuth 2.0 flows, webhook catalogs, and multi-language code samples across Python, Node.js, Java, and C#.
Designed documentation systems for 5 enterprise platforms across FinTech, compliance, and investment management, with 20 years at regulated-industry scale.
Shipped across MadCap Flare, MkDocs, Docusaurus, Confluence, and GitHub Pages pipelines; integrated Vale linting into CI/CD for automated MSTP compliance checks.
